Reconciliation Data

Reconciliation compares Dinape transaction data with settlement data received from payment providers. It helps finance and operations teams identify matched payments, amount differences, unknown provider transactions, and records that require further review.

The selected entity defines which reconciliation data is shown. For example, a client-level view can include reconciliation data across multiple merchants, while a merchant-level view focuses on the selected merchant.

Open reconciliation data

Open Reconciliation from the side menu, then select Transactions reconciliation.

The page contains two tabs:

  • Reconciliation: shows reconciliation results for Dinape transactions and provider settlement data.
  • Reconciliation rules: shows the rules used to define allowed reconciliation deviations.

Review reconciliation results

Use the Reconciliation tab to review how Dinape transactions match against provider settlement data.

The table shows transaction and settlement values side by side, including the Dinape transaction ID, amount, currency, connector transaction gross amount, connector transaction currency, and reconciliation status.

Reconciliation results can include the following statuses:

  • Match: Dinape and provider values match.
  • Auto-Match: A difference exists, but it is within the configured tolerance.
  • No Match: The difference is outside the configured tolerance.
  • Unknown transaction: A provider transaction could not be matched to a Dinape transaction.
  • Manual Match: A transaction was reviewed and manually marked as matched.

Filter reconciliation data

Use the date range selector to narrow the table to a specific period.

You can also use filters and search to find specific reconciliation records, for example by transaction ID, amount, currency, connector reference, connector brand, or reconciliation status.

Customize the table

Use the table settings to adjust which columns are shown.

You can add or remove columns and change the order of columns to focus on the reconciliation fields most relevant to your workflow.

Available columns can include transaction identifiers, connector references, amounts, currencies, timestamps, reconciliation job ID, reconciliation reason, reconciliation difference, and connector fee fields.

Export reconciliation data

Use Export to create a reconciliation export for the current table view.

Exports can be created in supported file formats such as CSV or XLSX. Creating an export may take some time. Completed exports are available under Documents > Reports.

Configure reconciliation rules

Open the Reconciliation rules tab to define allowed deviations between Dinape transaction data and provider settlement data.

Rules help Dinape decide when a difference should still be treated as acceptable. A rule can define:

  • Currency
  • Fixed deviation
  • Percentage deviation

For example, a rule can allow small differences caused by rounding, provider-specific settlement behavior, or currency-related deviations.

Add a reconciliation rule

To add a reconciliation rule:

  1. Open Reconciliation from the side menu.
  2. Select Transactions reconciliation.
  3. Open the Reconciliation rules tab.
  4. Select Add.
  5. Define whether the rule applies to all currencies or to a specific currency.
  6. Enter the allowed fixed deviation and percentage deviation.
  7. Confirm the rule.

The rule is then used when reconciliation results are calculated.

Delete a reconciliation rule

You can delete reconciliation rules that are no longer needed.

Before deleting a rule, check whether it is still required for current reconciliation behavior. Removing a rule can affect how future reconciliation results are classified.

Next steps

After reviewing reconciliation results, use Calculation Jobs to review fee and settlement-related calculation runs.
